Instructions
First is to find a
pot, containers or basket. From your local nursery or home
decor store. One that is suitable for your size plant. One
main thing to remember is that the pot should fit the plant
size that you are putting together. Example. if the plant is
22" tall a 8" or 10" basket or pot should due.
Instructions
1. If your basket has a plastic liner keep it in.
2. Glue the styrofoam in the bottom of the basket. If
your basket has no liner, you can get a plastic liner tray
at your local florist or garden shop.
They use them for floral arrangements. No need to do this if
using a solid container. If using a light weight basket put
small loose rocks around the foam to weigh down the basket.
This helps it from tipping if it gets top heavy.
3. Take the stem of the plant and push down in the
foam until its just above the leafs at the top of the foam
or if the stem is just above the baskets edge.
4. Moss the top of the foam before you fluff the
plant. Fluff out the moss no need to pack it tight.
5. Fluff out your plant all the way around. Give the
leafs a round bend with your fingers.
Remember if your plant
is 22 tall, the higher the foam at the top of your container
will make a plant taller.
Example: If the plant is
22" tall and the foam is 2" from the top of your basket
or pot your finished product could be 4" taller or more. This all
depends on how far you push the plants stem into the foam.
